Well, I finished fourth. That's not bad for having no idea what was going on for most of the season.

Is that better?

Additionally, pictures from the flood of yesterday:

The shed, in all of its almost wet glory.

The parking lot, as seen from the first full set of stairs leading to the deck.

Standing near the bottom of the stairs.

Same spot, looking a different direction. That mound is mom's mulch. To the right is non-submerged concrete. That black spot next to it is the high-water mark.

Looking out from that area over the parking lot. The pile of bricks is faintly visible.

The Cheat was having the time of her life out there.

Jun. 17th, 2006 @ 12:33 pm Yet another interesting mom quote
So I was sitting in the TV room talking World Cup with mom. The conversation went something like this:

Me: If Portugal wins by two points, and if Angola can beat Iran by two points, Angola will move on, and Mexico will be out. Boo-yah!

Mom: Mexico has a cute...

I think we all know what you were going to say, mom.

Sep. 25th, 2005 @ 09:07 am A tough pill to swallow.
So, as you may or may not know, I had my wisdom teef removed on Friday. And, aside from getting blood all over my bad and one of good shirts, everything went hunky-dory. The problem, however, is that I cannot swallow pills. As in physically unable. Now I'm supposed to take 8 pills a day through Tuesday. Yeah, screw that. I'm done with Vicaden (But that's partially because my Constitution is at least a 16, so I have bounced back already), so I only have to take 4 a day. Plus I have to rinse my mouth with warm salt water four times a day for a week. Plus I have to ice my cheeks. Eff'ing Wisdom Teef...

And, for anyone wondering, the soccer team is 8-1. This week's match-ups include Cambridge, Canton McKinley, and the New Philadelphia Fighting Quakers.

Well, that's enough for now.

Aug. 19th, 2005 @ 09:07 pm Another update into my Oh so exciting life.
We had a scrimmage against Edison and St. Clairesville on Tuesday. I scored a goal on varsity, and earned the corner kick that caused our second goal. yee-ha! I spent the last two halves playing on defense, though. On Thursday we had two home scrimmages. Coach had me playing JV, but I only played one half of that, and then I started varsity. Crazy, isn't it? We didn't do too well though. Another scrimmage tomorrow at Waynedale, then a practice on Monday, then the start of the season with a home game against Massillon on Tuesday! Then school starts back up again. Time until school starts: 5 days. Books I have to read: 3 When am I going to read them? Homeroom on Wednesday.

Also, I have your Ghost Recon CD, Matthew. It's a great game. Score one for freedom!

So I have a varsity number (8) and no JV number, so I think that there is a decent chance I'll be playing varsity this year. Yay?

Feb. 5th, 2005 @ 08:07 pm Scholar Challenge
So, the ECOL Scholar Challenge thing definitely went on today. Dover so totally won. We had a 6-1 record during the tournament, and tied Phila. Point-wise, however, he smacked them up. So now there is another trophy in the old case. And my trip to Scotland paid off. Stone of Scone, I love thee!
